Most advanced Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) training courses involve larger group formats. In contrast, at Nashville Speech & Swallowing Specialists, PLLC we target learners who benefit from small-class training that is focused, intensive, and personalized, allowing more opportunities for guided practice, direct feedback, and individualized application of advanced FEES skills, along with follow-up, calibration, and mentorship after the initial training to ensure maximum impact and continued skill development and retention. This micro-class is designed to provide an intimate, thorough, and direct learning experience in FEES analysis, scoring, interpretation, documentation, and clinical application.

Course Description

Micro-Class Advance FEES Training: Analysis, Scoring, Interpretation, & Clinical Application (An 8-Hour IN-PERSON TRAINING)

An advanced, practical training course designed for Speech-Language Pathologists to strengthen post-examination skills in Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES). Using the ASICA FEES Framework—Analysis, Scoring, Interpretation, and Clinical Application—participants will review recorded FEES studies, systematically analyze swallowing findings, apply appropriate scoring methods, interpret results within the clinical context of the patient, and translate findings into clear documentation, recommendations, treatment considerations, and clinical decisions. Case-based application and hands-on practice activities with direct instructor feedback provide opportunities to refine advanced clinical reasoning, report writing, and practical application of FEES findings.

FOLLOW-UP: ASICA FEES Calibration & Mentorship Lab Training (A 2-HOUR LIVE VIRTUAL TRAINING)

A live, virtual follow-up lab training designed for Speech-Language Pathologists who have completed the Micro-Class Advance FEES Training: Analysis, Scoring, Interpretation & Clinical Application. Following up utilizing the ASICA FEES Framework participants engage in guided case review, analysis and scoring calibration, interpretation and clinical reasoning activities, documentation and clinical application discussions, and individualized mentorship. Direct instructor feedback and targeted practice reinforce concepts from the initial training, support consistency and confidence, and identify and executing practical steps for continued FEES skill development and retention, and continued success.
